Photo of the Month – January

Hi Folks:

As we’re both writers as well as photographers, we’re including two images for January’s photo of the month post, along with poems inspired by them. Enjoy!

Marcia’s first, and a haiku:

sun’s reflection
on rain soaked roads and walkways
her happy thoughts

And one from Mike, a gogyohka:

Beacon Hill Park, Victoria, BC
Quietly, she lies sleeping…
Awake in her own dreams,
while the sun
nudges her softly
on the shoulder

Okay, that’s it. Now go out and make some photographs! And do a little writing on the side! 🙂

Love wet pavement, some night when walking home, look down, focus on the lights on wet tar- imagine flying slowly over a starscape. I do this often.
