Hi Folks:

Well, as the song says, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year…” And while there are many reasons to celebrate the Holiday Season, the transition from shorter days to longer and all that accompanies that, the truth is that this can also be a stressful time of year for many people. People get caught up in the too-short days, the not-enough time, and the hustle and bustle that’s being pushed upon them from all sides. And when they get pushed around too much, sometimes something very sad happens… They lose their smile somewhere along the way. 😪

Because of that, every year for the past five years, Twinkles and Krinkles have taken it upon themselves to go out into Victoria and see if they can help people find their smiles again. Being naturally cheery themselves, they smile and wave at everyone they meet. Sometimes people smile and wave back, and sometimes they don’t, but that’s okay too. Because Krinkles and Twinkles know a secret – that a secret smile has been planted inside of everyone they meet, just waiting for the right moment to appear. It will come out when it’s time, and they can be patient. 😊 For the first time, Twinkles and Krinkles went out twice this year. The first time was to Mayfair Mall, and the second time was around downtown Victoria. To everyone they met, who shared smiles, waves and hugs, they say thank you. And if you’ve ever met Krinkles and Twinkles (even if you’re reading this just now), know that you have a secret smile inside you. Bring it out as often as you can!
